FOUNDER

Swati Savale founded Starrz Dance in 2002 with a just few kids in her small apartment complex. Since, she has built a company consisting of over ____ students, a wonderful staff, classes in multiple locations, all while raising three children. She is a trained Indian Classical dancer with many credits to her name, having applauded and worked with celebrities and Bollywood choreographers such as Javed Jaffery, Geeta Kapoor, Punit Pathak, Muddadsar, and many more. Swati Savale believes that dance is an integral part of the human existence and through her company she hopes to provide an outlet for all. 

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Akshay Savale started his journey in Starrz Dance teaching classes and building his repertoire as an artist. Today, he is the Creative Director of our company, trained in Hip-Hop and Bollywood. He has had the privilege of training under renowned choreographers such as Chris Judd, Mia Micheals, Dave Scott, Terrance Lewis, and Brian Friedman. Shortly after placing top 5 in Dance India Dance North America, he joined and became captain of Unique Movement, a dance crew based in NY. From teaching a couple students dance to choreographing operas and running a business with a full time job, Akshay Savale hopes to show that dance will always hold an important space in this world. 

INSTRUCTOR

Anuradha started learning Bharatnatyam in the year 1996 and acquired Certification 11 years later in Hyderabad, Telangana. Anuradha has performed in the All India Dance Festival in Delhi and on National TV in Mumbai. She has experience in Bharatnatyam, Bollywood, Regional Folk and other dance forms. She has choreographed and performed in many classical, semi-classical, folk, and Bollywood dance events. She is an approachable and dedicated dance instructor who is keen to share her passion for dance by establishing collaborative relationships with students and encouraging them to succeed in the learning journey.

INSTRUCTOR

Abi has been a choreographer & dancer for seven years, with a specialty in Bollywood style dance. She has been part of Starrz Dance since October 2023, teaching at multiple classes throughout the Bay Area.

INSTRUCTOR

Shalini is a veteran teacher at Starrz Dance, teaching for the past 5 years. She is trained in Bollywood and has years of experience in teaching all age groups and skill levels.
